  Beautiful restaurant. A great place for a date, just be prepared for a pricy meal. Extensive wine list, wonderful food, attentive staff.
  
  There are 2 restaurants, the Witchery "Secret Garden" open during the day, and the intimate Witchery Restaurant in the evening - both are absolutely stunning. No wonder their clientele include famous actors and dignitaries. With that said, reservations are a MUST.

  Service in the restaurant was good
  , food looked well represented on plate, but lacked flavour. Side dishes were awful for the standard of restaurant. Desert was enjoyable.

  The restaurant here is lovely and it was a great way to spend our first evening in Edinburgh. With wooden-paneled walls and Gothic fixtures the adjectives such as "opulent" and "lavish" are very apt. The level of cooking matches the decor with the scallops and venison being particular highlights. The only reason I docked a star from the review was that service fell a little short. We were left for half an hour at our table when we arrived with no water, bread, menus or wine lists to peruse and we did start to feel like a pair of lemons after a while. Also the waiters were stood over our shoulder at one point arguing with one another - that should definitely be kept away from the restaurant floor! Other than that it would have been a 5/5 though.

  Had lunch at The Witchery. The restaurant is beautiful and so full of character. The food and the wine were excellent. The service was also impeccable. Five stars!
