  I popped in on the offchance for a cuppa one day, telling them I was lactose intolerant. There was very little available for me, and nothing in the cake line, so I left. The following week friends said "let's have supper there" so I phoned in, explaining again I couldn't eat milk products, and asking if they could please make sure a full meal was available, stressing that an actual pudding instead of fruit plate would be very welcome (I cannot face more melon and Parma ham and fruit plate - it's all people serve milk allergic people, that and ham, eggs and chips!) It was a tasty meal - the beef rib starter looked small and lonely and unadorned on a huge plate with three tiny leaves of parsley laid on top, but tasted great. The main was very well done couscous with game bird, but when it came to the pudding I was offered you guessed it, fruit plate as they had nothing else to give. It's not very welcoming to totally ignore clients when they phone in with medical issues well in advance of a meal, then offer exactly what they state they would love to avoid. I would have given 4 stars but for this.
