  If you are seeking a large hotel that has brand value then look no further.
  
  Holiday Inn, Corstorphine Road, is a large hotel that has brand value but that's about it. You can find several hotels at cheaper, much cheaper rates closer to the city centre. This hotel is situated literally next to the Edinburgh Zoo and is way out of the city. For people who want to be close to Princess Street area, should look for other hotel. Not only are they cheaper but they would be more modern. (Look at the photo of the rate list displayed at the reception)
  
  As we are travelling as part of a large group organised by Trafalgar, we have a bus/coach at our disposal and travelling to and from the city isn't really a problem. That apart, the room we have (145) has a locker, which unfortunately is broken, and there is no iron but only a trouser press. However, there is a small refrigerator that you could use if you so desire. The room also has air conditioning and heating provision but the heating was not turned on.
  
  The bed is comfortable but the washroom is very small and cramped. The window opens towards the city and offers wonderful views.
  
  So if you are not particular about the area you stay and don't mind shelling out more than the rates you can find in the city, go ahead and come here. Otherwise find another hotel in the city limits.

  Stayed here 5 nights on a business trip to Edinburgh, had an executive room which was excellent and included a fridge! Staff are friendly, couldn't seem to do enough for us. Breakfast was good, had all the usual items you could want. Didn't eat in the hotel itself for dinners as there is so much variety close by, I would recommend the Chinese restaurant across the road called cool jade. All and all a great stay and the zoo is literally next door. Recommended!

  Convenient location to the town, quite surrounding, ample parking. Clean and spacious rooms, good bedding. Nothing to say bad. Reception staff nice. We booked the room without breakfasts, we went to the town for our meals. Rented a car from airport for 4 days, it was a nice stay.
