  I know a lot of people love La Favorita but I have been a few times and it has been a bad experience every time. Bland food with rude nonchalant staff delivering bad service. No plans to go back or order any food from them in future.

  This place has great pizzas, generous portions and lovely wine. It's not pretentious or expensive and the staff are easy going, friendly, and from what I can tell, mostly Italians.
  
  There's an open kitchen at the front, it always looks clean and busy, nice place. I visit regularly.

  I think their pizza is overrated. I mean it is fine, but it's not outstanding by any means. Still good so this is a positive review but I do not think it lives up to the reputation to be the "best pizza in Edinburgh" which is what I keep hearing from people.
